Some of these used may not even have occurred to some of us.
Your hubcaps: Driving on a very rocky road sometimes loosens your wheels from their hubcaps. To remedy that, tie some zip tie on your wheels and they are sure to keep tight.

In your garden: Need help in keeping your plants upright? Worry not. With a gardening stake, tie your plants loosely upright so as not to hurt them with the ridges. Use those that would not easily get worn by being exposed to too much sun if you have them.

For carrying things on your truck: Heavy duty zip ties are truckers' best friend. They can help fastening your stuff on your truck bed so they would not fall off while you drive. They are much more efficient than ropes.

Handicrafts: If you are the artistic type, you would be glad to know that these ties can actually be used as materials for your next handicraft project. All you need is a little creativity and a colorful bunch of these wonderful items and you can transform it into a hobby or even a handicraft business.

Arranging your flowers: In arranging flowers the way you want to, you can't avoid having some that  would not stay in place. Take a few zip ties and tie them. Arrange the flowers in the way you want and secure them around the stem with zip ties but make sure to not tie them too tightly so as to not cut the stems.

Your Christmas decorations: When the next Yuletide season arrive, use zip ties to tie your Christmas lights in place so they would not easily fall off. You can also secure other ornaments using in case they got loose from their strings or wires.

In your basement or storage shed: With the use of these ties, you could have more space where you can put stuff that otherwise would just be scattered everywhere. Make hoops with your extra tie-wrap on a pegboard or a rod. In that way, you can organize your stuff easily. You can also tie two milk crates with zip ties and you will have an instant portable storage box.

To secure off limit places: No need to spend money on padlocks and chains if you just want to keep children away from medicines and other household products that may be harmful for them. A couple of zip ties can lock them up for you.

In transporting your bike: The wheels of your bicycle would not stay put whenever you carry it from one place to another? Tying them with zip ties would help you secure them so they won't move anymore and you can cut them anytime you want to start biking once more.

If you are camping: Whenever you go camping and you have to leave your tent, you can use cable ties to keep the tent closed and keep bugs and wild animals from making itself at home while you are out hiking.

The drain: Say goodbye to expensive and toxic chemicals to unclog your drain. You can use stainless steel cable ties instead. All you have to do is get a long cable tie and cut diagonal lines on its sides. Cut diagonals just halfway along the zip tie. After doing that, you just have to insert it into the drain and pull whatever clogs the pipe.
